“ILIZAROV READINGS” IN KURGAN

The international meeting “Ilizarov Readings” (the theme of the conference: “Bone pathology: from theory to practice”) was held in Kurgan, Russia on the 16-18th of June, 2016.

The co-organizers of the conference were the Russian Ilizarov Scientific Centre “Restorative Traumatology and Orthopedics” and the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (USA) under the auspices of international nonprofit organizations ASAMI International, ASAMI Russia, ASAMI North America. The meeting was dedicated to Academician, Professor G.A.Ilizarov celebrating the 95th year of his birth, to the Ilizarov Method celebrating the 65th anniversary, and to the Russian Ilizarov Scientific Center “Restorative Traumatology and Orthopedics” celebrating its 45th anniversary.

500 delegations from various 31 countries took their participations at the meeting. Arshak Mirzoyan, MD, the head of the Center and Garsevan Malkhasyan, MD presented 2 reports: “Significance of Ilizarov Technique in Healthcare of Armenia” and “Ilizarov Technique in Aesthetic Surgery of Legs”.
